Landor Corporate Office: The Planning Process

To start off the entire project, the process of bubble and block diagrams must take form. The bubble diagrams are used in the beginning stages of the entire design which is used to approximate where certain areas will be located in the buliding. There are no measurements that take place, literally bubbles are just used to convey the positions of each room. Block diagrams are then developed to get a sense of the actual room sizes and shape of them. They are usually based off the bubble diagrams from the previous phase, however some changes can be made and are very much encouraged. My concept model is being used throughout the design of the actual layout of the office but will be seen more later on in the process when the actual design of the interior takes place.

Landor Corporate Office Wellness Space: The Beginnings

Landor Office: Concept Statement

The new Landor office located in Miami, FL will have different layers of creativity that will project human comfort and professionalism all in one. In a compact and cramped urban area, space is very limited. The idea of a white and translucent environment can illustrate the sense of openness and allow natural daylight penetrate the interior walls. By using the painting by Maitreyii called Obscure Variety 2 as inspiration for the overall design,  rectilinear and non-rectilinear geometric figures will be incorporated, working together to create one harmonious working space. This mirrors the concept of what an office space should be: many various departments working together as one enormous corporation.
